KTM Introduces New Team for the Upcoming 2019 Supercross and Motocross Races |

The 2019 Motocross and Supercross races are just around the corner, and all parties involved are busy trying to make the events a success. For the uninitiated, motocross is essentially an off-road motorcycle racing competition that takes place on enclosed, off-road circuits. The sport originated in the motorcycle trials of the United Kingdom. Supercross, on the other hand, is a cycle racing event that involves specialized off-road motorcycles with high-performance features. Supercross is conducted on man-made dirt tracks with obstacles and steep jumps, which add to the difficult and the risk factor for the participants. KTM's Supercross and Motocross TeamsKTM AG is a motorcycle and sports car manufacturer headquartered in Mattighofen, Austria. The company was formed in 1992 and is known for its world-class off-road motorcycles. Over the past decades, the company has expanded and now manufactures street motorcycles as well as sports car, in addition to its primary product, off-road motorbikes. KTM is one of the world's largest and most reputed manufacturers of off-road motorcycles. KTM is one of the first to have announced its supercross and motocross teams for 2019. While this move may not guarantee them victory on the tracks, KTM believes that it may boost the morale of fans and therefore can't hurt its chances in the long term. Thus, the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team was introduced on a bright, sunny autumn day along with the two KTM-mounted satellite teams. The latter two satellite teams comprise of the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS squad and the Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM team. All the teams were introduced together at the KTM Supercross test track in the state of California. According to reports, all three teams will be riding KTM dirtbikes fitted with the best-in-class brake clevis and other off-road gears. The racing season is set to begin on the 5th of January, 2019, and the early announcement and introductions gave the riders a chance to get in some extra testing for their bikes and gear, apart from giving interviews to the reporters present. The Riders and Team MembersMarvin Masquin will be returning to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team for the fourth consecutive year. He has finished in the top three in every one of the last three years. Also, new signee Cooper Webb will be joining Masquin on the KTM team after leaving Yamaha, his former team. With world class brake clevis and other off-road motorcycle gear, Webb has won two Supercross and one Pro Motocross championships. Ian Harrison will be stepping into the crucial role of technical director and team manager for the Red Bull Factory Racing squad, with the promising duo Webb and Musquin under his charge. The Troy Lee Designs team, on the other hand, will be running four riders in the East and West region rounds of the 250cc class. On this team (Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM), Jordon Smith and Shane McElrath will be joined by newcomer Mitchell Falk and Sean Cantrell, who will be returning for his second consecutive year on the KTM team. It has been announced that former racer Tyler Keefe will be serving once again as the manager of the team. The Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS team will be managed by Michael Byrne. In 2019, Byrne will be fielding a crucial two-rider squad on 450s comprising of racers Blake Baggett and Benny Bloss. All the riders will be equipped with the latest motorcycle and dirtbike gear, such as rear brakes, clutches, and brake clevis manufactured by the most reputed companies.
